Ranjeeta's Bright Future
Dolma has been the proud sponsor of Ranjeeta for five years. She is a kind hearted, bright girl who attends Tong-Len, a school in Dharamsala, India. Ranjeeta comes from a family with five children. Her parents migrated from Maharashtra with the hopes of finding work. They have found few opportunities.
They live in a tent in a slum. Tong-Len has helped the community by installing a water tap, donating warm blankets, setting up a medical clinic and offering one meal a day each family. In addition to meeting the basic needs of the community, Tong-len set up schools. They established a pre-school and primary school within the slum, where any child can come and attend school every day.

They also built a boarding school nearby. One child from each family attends the boarding school. It provides a place where the children can focus on their education while having nutritious, consistent meals and maintining better health.
Ranjeeta excelled in the boarding school since her first year. She competes in state wide competitions and is a dedicated student. For fun, she loves traditional Indian dancing. She dreams of being a doctor someday. Thanks to her education, this dream is possible.
